First Aid & Reporting Accidents

If you have / witness an accident please report it at the Ground Floor Reception area (at the Borough High Street site) or the Clinic Reception area (at the Southwark Bridge Road site).

All accidents and injuries, however small, sustained by a person at work must be reported to the Head of Estates and recorded in the accident book (held on the ground floor reception/clinic reception office) as quickly as possible.

Accident records are crucial to the effective monitoring of health and safety procedures and must therefore be accurate and comprehensive.

The Head of Estates will inspect the accident book on a regular basis and all accidents will be investigated and a report prepared, with any necessary action being taken to prevent a recurrence of the problem.

Appointed First Aiders

Appointed First Aiders at the UCO have received appropriate training.

The names of staff members who are appointed First Aiders are posted clearly on each floor of the Borough High Street Building and within the Southwark Bridge Road building.

You are recommended to make a note of who the UCO's appointed First Aiders are should you need to call on their assistance.
